I tried to format it on the camera but the camera gave a card error. I tried formatting the card on my computer but the computer said it couldn't format the card. The last thing I did was to remove the xd card from the device and blow on it. And voila, it worked. So my hopes went down again for I know that it would be really hard to find a 512mb xd card these days. It turned on. I can't believe it. I was so excited, I tired to take a picture but the memory card seemed to be corrupted. I have been in love with my husband for 10 years (married 3 years). Last week, while I was researching about budget digital cameras, I can't help but feel sad for my blue buddy again. I seriously considered getting a Canon Powershot but was a little apprehensive due to their recent problems with the dreaded e18 error messages. Out of the box the camera can only take about 7 pictures, so purchasing a xD picture card is a must. Granted, this Olympus camera is a new model so not much is known about potential risks, but I was willing to take a gamble and purchase it. Plus, with an excellent price point, I felt confident about my decision. It takes a couple of seconds to take the shot. If you want to take very fast pictures, this probably isn't the camera for you. After much research and consideration, I decided to purchase this fine little camera. This is my first digital camera and it was an excellent choice. This really isn't an issue for me as I was not looking for a video camera....
